The copper wire used in this work, as well as in Under My Skin, was a gift from my grandfather. Before he passed away, he gave me a large electric cable full of copper wires, seeing copper as a precious material from his youth. In this work, the act of sewing takes on a new meaning, like engraving the bond of love and commemorating my grandfather’s memory.
